St Patricks Day Parade

Hopkins VFW, Legions, and Elks organized
‘The Shortest  Patricks Day Parade Ever’.  There wasn’t much information about it other then were it would start and end and at what time.  No idea what the parade route was going to be.  Not sure how big of a deal this was going to be us girls set out early to be sure we could find a good spot to watch the parade.  Upon driving around Hopkins we noticed not a person around waiting for this parade.  Thought SOMEONE would be around and know what was going on, so we kept driving around and around Hopkins, which as you know is not very big area.  Eventually we pulled into a parking lot and called Ryan at work to see if he could find any more information on the website.  He couldn’t.  So we decided to just sit there for a few minutes before driving around again.  While we were waiting we saw two ladies wearing a lot of green.  So I decided to head in the same direction as them.  Eventually I saw a lot of green looking people and so I asked about the parade route.  We go find a spot on Mainstreet to watch this parade.  At that time there was only 3 other people on the same street as us and I think they were waiting for the bus.  Eventually a few  other people showed up.  The parade began and if you blinked you would have missed it.  Here are pictures of the ENTIRE parade.  Started with the flag, the police, then all the green people, followed up by the Cold Stone truck, then a fire truck with the Raspberry Festival Princesses.  That was it.  The girls enjoyed it and I got a few laughs out of it.

Tie Dye Easter Eggs

In hopes of not making as big of a mess as other years we tried the tie dye easter egg kit.  There was no tying involved!  I dropped a few drops of dye in plastic bags along with an egg and let the girls squish it around, then Ally added glitter to them.  No one ended up with green fingers this year!

Happy Easter

The Easter Bunny arrived and brought a basket full of goodies for the girls.  Ally said she heard hopping over night.  Must have been that bunny hiding the eggs.

Egg Hunt

Ally throughly enjoyed the Easter Egg Hunt again this year.  She was having so much fun I wanted to take the eggs out of her basket and continue hiding them.  Evelyn found the grass in the baskets to be rather tasty and chose to just eat that rather than look for any hidden eggs.

More Easter

We spent the rest of the day celebrating Easter in Hamburg.  We had a good time visiting with the relatives.  Ally found out what those blue malted milk eggs are really for.  They also got to look for more eggs!  It was really fun watching Ally check out what was inside the eggs, Chester opening his all up and Evelyn eating Chester’s stickers.

A Day at Home

We were just hanging out and Ally started dancing so I thought I might as well get out the camera.  I thought some of the shots were to funny not to show you.
