Yummy!

It was time to start eating more than milk.  We started out with cereal which she loved!  She wanted more and would pull my hand closer and not let me take the spoon out of her mouth, but then got mad because there was no more food going in. LOL  On Thanksgiving we started mashed veggies, she was very thankful for sweet potatoes!

Christmas portraits

We also had pictures made for Christmas.  This was the first time we attempted professional pictures with two kids.  That was difficult, but I think we got some good ones.

Visit with Santa

We went with the Longworths to Woodbury for what we thought was a sleigh ride and a chance to sit on Santa’s lap.  We did those but were very suprised when we were standing in line to see the big man and all of a sudden fireworks started going off above us.  The girls LOVED them.  Then the big tree was lit and the kids got to go tell Santa what they would like him to bring this year.  Ally panicked and almost told him she wanted a Strawberry Shortcake DVD but caught herself and managed to let him know she wants a Tigger and Pooh and Darby and Buster movie, and rainbow tape, and a new lamb because she lost the one that Oma gave her, and some lipstick!  Then Santa told her he could bring a few surprises as well!  Guess I better start shopping for those surprises. LOL

Time to bake cookies

Every year the day after Thanksgiving Grandma B comes over and we bake cookies.  This year was no different.  Ally was old enough to help more that she did in the past.  She could roll out the dough and press the cutters in.  We made so many cookies though we ran out of time to decorate.  I’ll post those pictures next month.

Trimming the tree

Ally once again had a blast decorating the tree.  She was very quick!  Earlier we had made a paper chain.  I don’t recommend you trying this at home!  It took FOREVER!  As the pictures show Ryan actually helped this year.  Ha, that is about the extent of his tree trimming.
